POST GRADUATE RESEARCH GRANTS AT MERU UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
Cystic Echinococcosis in Sub-Saharan Africa Research initiative (CESSARi) Masters/PhD Research Grants at Meru University of Science and Technology, Kenya.
CESSARi-Kenya, a collaborative research project funded by Deutsche Forschungsgeme inscha ft, German-Africa Co-operatio n projects in infectiology (DFG), headed by Prof Japhet Magambo, the Vice Chancello r, Meru University of Science and Technology invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for Master/PhD scientific research work.
-Eligible scholars will be expected to conduct their research at Meru University of Science and Technology, molecular laboratories.
Three (3) eligible Masters/PhD projects are available on the following areas;
- Social economic aspects of Echinococcosis in Kenya
- The epidemiology and clinical implications of the genetic diversity of Echinococcus species from both intermediate and final hosts in Kajiado, Narok and North eastern parts of Kenya.
ELIGIBILITY
- Be a Kenyan Citizen
- Hold a Bachelor of science degree in the field of Medical la boratory sciences , biological sciences or other field relevant to the project
- Have completed MSc/Ph.D course work from a University recognized by Meru Unive rsity of Science and Technology
