Emmanuel Too former volleyball captain and track and field athlete currently in the USA on scholarship

Emmanuel Too, a 2nd year student, made MUST proud during the KUSA Central athletics Championship hosted by Embu University College on 14th November,2015. His exploits were as follows: 1st position in 400m ,1st position in discus, 2nd position in 1500m, 3rd position in shot put. Well done Emmanuel. Note that he is also the MUST volleyball captain.

Meru University once more proved her prowess in sports after lifting 3 trophies last weekend at Dedan Kimathi University.

-Hockey men beat a pool of 9 university teams to emerge overall winners.

-Netball men repeated their winning trends and came tops again.

-Soccer women team took the runners-up trophy after edging out all her opponents in straight wins only to miss on penalties at the final.

-Meru University has as at now 5 teams qualifying for National playoffs at University of Eldoret in March 2016. Five teams and counting!

Kongole MUST!

Sports 10th October,2015

This is to notify MUST fraternity the results of 10th October,2015 games at our grounds.

Nine (9) universities were represented namely Karatina University, Dedan Kimathi University of Technnology, Murang’a University, Embu University College, Chuka University, Kenyatta University(Kitui Campus), Kirinyaga University College,  South Eastern Kenya University(SEKU) and Meru University of Science and Technology(MUST). The discipline were: Soccer(men), Netball(men & women), Volleyball(men & women), Badminton(men & women). MUST won soccer(men) and netball(men), was position 2 in volleyball(women) and position 3 in volleyball(men). In total we took 3 trophies the only University to get more than 2 as SEKU managed only 2.

Congratulations to our players, fans and coaches for work well done.

 

The University is endowed with natural playing fields and land terrain ideal for sports and games and long distance running and training.

The County Government of Meru in collaboration with the University has signed a memorandum to engage and develop these resources with a view to use sports and games to promote tourism in the County.
