The department of biological sciences is delighted to inform you that the following post graduate programmes are being offered.

a) A candidate wishing to be admitted to the PhD in Entomology program of the School of Pure and Applied Sciences must have the following qualifications: Hold a Master of Science degree in Entomology, Zoology, Agriculture, Horticulture, Crop Protection, Forestry and related sciences with specialization in entomology.
b) A candidate must submit a research concept note.

Admission Requirements for the Programme

Be a holder of Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Honors (Upper Division) in Biological Sciences, Agriculture, Crop Protection, Horticulture or relevant Life Sciences from an institution recognized by the University Senate.
Be a holder of Bachelor’s degree with Second Class Honors (Lower Division) in Biological Sciences, Agriculture, Crop Protection, Horticulture or relevant Life Sciences provided the candidate can show proven evidence of research ability and/or 2 years relevant post qualification work experience.

Be a holder of Bachelor’s degree with at least Second Class Honors Upper Division in Biological Sciences, Zoology, Botany or relevant Life Sciences from an institution recognized by the University Senate.
Be a holder of Bachelor’s degree with Second Class Honors Lower Division in Biological Sciences, Zoology, Botany or relevant Life Sciences provided the candidate can show proven evidence of research ability and/or 2 years relevant post qualification work experience.
