Location

Meru University of Science and Technology is situated near Nchiru Market, 15Kms from Meru Town along Meru- Maua Road.

Meru Town, a fast growing city, is the headquarters, cultural and commercial centre of Meru County.

The area, owing to nearness to the equator enjoys hot and cool climate throughout the year with hottest months in January, February, August and September and with the coldest month in July, and rains are experienced in March to May and October to December. Though, due to effect of climate change, rains are unpredictable.

The University borders lower Mt. Kenya forest and Meru Town to the West, Nchuura and Nyambene Hills, Isiolo Resort City, Lewa Down Conservancy, Meru National Game Reserve to the North, Matiru and Mbutubutia Swamps and the University is within the Lamu Port South Sudan Ethiopia Transport Corridor (LAPSSET).
