Meru University in a partnership with Reagan Publishing Ltd, London, United Kingdom carried out a short story competition Dubbed Story fest 2025. This festival had the following objectives:

• To encourage creative writing, and to reward stories adjudged the best in accordance with pre-agreed criteria, rules and guidelines to be agreed between the University and Reagan Publishing
• To encourage reading of creative writing and literature
• To enhance awareness of the importance of grammar, vocabulary, and presentation, not only in the context of the competition, but also as wider life skills to be carried through into future employment
• To identify students who can produce work which may appeal to an international readership with the aim of entering into future collaborative arrangements which may involve mentoring, proof reading of work, and enhancement of work through the use of Artificial Intelligence tools, free of charge.
• To publish excellent stories on the Yours2Read website

The competition attracted 60 entries and culminated into the awarding ceremony for the winners on 4/12/2025. The winners from number 1 to 10 were awarded cash prizes supported by Reagan Publishing Company and Meru University. The winners in order of merit were:
