The 4th White Coat Ceremony 2026 at the Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) marked a memorable milestone for the University’s School of Health Sciences and School of Nursing. Held on the auspicious Friday, 25th September 2026, the ceremony brought together students, faculty, healthcare professionals, partners and University leadership to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in the journey of our future healthcare professionals. 

It was more than a ceremony—it was a moment of purpose, commitment and promise, as our students took an important step towards a lifetime of learning, service, compassion and impact in healthcare.

But this ceremony is about more than putting on a white coat. 

It is about accepting what the coat represents: trust, responsibility, professionalism, compassion and a commitment to serve.

For our first-year students, today marks the beginning of a journey where knowledge must translate into better care, stronger communities and meaningful impact on human lives.

 

We were honoured to welcome Dr. Sanjay Pandey, CEO, Lifecare Hospitals Kenya, as Chief Guest, alongside University leadership, representatives from Meru County, healthcare professionals and partners from KEMU, DeKUT, Chuka University, Karatina University and Chuka University.

We also appreciate our partners, including JOETECH Computers, and the healthcare professionals whose support continues to strengthen the learning journey.

Behind this milestone was a strong spirit of collaboration through MUMeLSA, Clinicians Club, Meru University Health Club, MUNSA and MUHSMC.
