In line with the Kenyan Government’s vision of equipping citizens with globally competitive skills, Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) offers a structured German Language Training Program.

The program is designed for students seeking international education opportunities, professionals targeting the European labour market, and individuals interested in cultural and linguistic competence.

Germany is currently experiencing a skills deficit of over 250,000 workers annually, creating sustained demand for qualified professionals.

Why Study German at MUST

Career Pathways: Eligibility for employment sectors covered under Labour Migration Agreements between Kenya and European countries.

Educational Access: Opportunities for admission to German universities, many offering subsidized or tuition-free education.

Ausbildung Pathways: Access to apprenticeship programmes that integrate vocational training with language acquisition.

Professional Certification: Training aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Course Structure

Level Description Duration
A1 (Beginner) Introduction to basic expressions, self-presentation, and simple communication. 3 Months
A2 (Elementary) Ability to communicate in routine tasks and describe personal background. 3 Months
B1 (Intermediate) Independent language use for work and travel; required for work visa applications. 3 Months

Programme Fees

Single Level (A1, A2, or B1): Ksh 30,000

Two-Level Bundle (A1–A2 or A2–B1): Ksh 50,000

Complete Programme (A1–B1): Ksh 80,000

External examination fees for official B1 certification are payable directly to the recognized examining body.

      Am really happy for this event.I love German and God willing one day I will be able to train more in this language.For now the program fee is quite unfavourable to me but hoping my time is coming .🙏

    This is a timely and excellent initiative by MUST! Preparing students for the global labor market is the way to go. Are there flexible payment plans or internal student discounts available for those eager to enroll but might be finding the upfront fee a bit steep?
