Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) is a state owned University established by the Government of Kenya under the Universities Act 2012. The University is located in Meru County, along the Meru-Maua road.

MUST wishes  to recruit qualified and dedicated staff to fill the following vacant   positions;

SENIOR LECTURER –  GRADE 13  – MUST/ACA/01/3/21  – 1 POST EACH

Applicants are invited for the post of a Senior Lecturer in the following areas:

1. Civil Engineering
2. Clinical Medicine
3. Christian Religious Education
4. Journalism and Communication
5. Electrical Engnieering
6. Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering
7. Hotel & Tourism Management

Applicants must have:

1. An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification (or a Master’s degree qualification in special cases) in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university;
2. At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the University level as a Lecturer or six (6) years research/industry experience.
3. A minimum of thirty two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least twenty four (24) should be from refereed scholarly journals;
4. Supervised at least three (3) post graduate students to completion as a Lecturer or equivalent;
5. Be registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable)

TUTORIAL FELLOW – GRADE 11  – MUST/ACA/03/3/21

CLINICAL INSTRUCTOR – GRADE 8   – MUST/ ACA/04/3/21 – 2 POSTS

Applicants are invited for the post of Clinical Instructor/ Skills Laboratory Technologist for the following areas:

1. Medical Surgical Nursing (1 Post)
2. Midwifery and Reproductive Health (1 Post)

Applicants must:

1. Have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree qualification from accredited and recognized University.
2. Have at least two (2) years’ clinical experience.
3. Have a valid licence from the Nursing Council of Kenya
4. Be registered/registrable with the relevant professional body.

 

MICROTEACHING LAB-MEDIA TECHNICIAN – GRADE 8 – MUST/ ACA/05/3/21 –  1 POST

Applicants must:

1. Have a Bachelor’s degree in Radio & Television production/ Broadcasting or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
2. One (1) years’ experience as a TV/Radio technologist or equivalent will be an added advantage.

 

LABORATORY TECHNOLOGIST – GRADE 6 – MUST/ACA/06/3/21 – 1 POST

Applicants must:

1. Have a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science from accredited and recognized University or institution of higher learning.
2. Have at least (2) years’ work experience in a hospital/ research laboratory.
3. Be registered with the relevant professional body.

 

GEOGRAPHY TECHNICIAN – GRADE 5   –  MUST/ACA/07/3/21 – 1 POST

Applicants must have:

1. A Diploma or equivalent in surveying, Geography, Geology or similar.
2. At least two (2) years’ experience in creating network maps using a combination of GIS mapping software, Google earth, Visio or Diagrammatic software.
3. Experience of using (Computer aided design) CAD or GIS (Geographic Information System Software).
4. Any experience as a GIS Surveyor or GIS Technician would be highly desirable.
5. Knowledge of Telecoms surveying would be an added advantage.

 

UNIVERSITY LIBRARIAN – GRADE 15 – MUST/ ACA/08/3/21  –  1 POST (RE- ADVERTISMENT)

Applicants must have:

1. A PhD. in library and information Science or related fields with 3 years as Deputy University Librarian and should have published a minimum of three articles in peer reviewed journals.
2. A Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or related field from a recognized University.
3. A Bachelor’s degree in Library Studies/Information Science or related field.
4. Five (5) years’ work experience in a library set up in an institution of higher learning.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft computer applications;
6. Be self-motivated team player with good inter-personal and communication skills.
