MUST Linking Students to the World

Meet our very own Victor Kiptoo Mutai, a second-year M.Sc Chemistry (Materials Chemistry Option) student who has been nominated to participate in the Erasmus+ KA107 Postgraduate mobility program at the University of Padova, Italy for six (6) months. This follows the signing of the Erasmus+ KA107 Inter-institutional agreement 2020 between Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) and the University of Padova, Italy on the exchange of postgraduate students and academic staff in the context of the Erasmus+ KA107 + program.

Mr. Mutai will be conducting part of his M.Sc research work titled “Evaluation of Kenyan Clay for Production of Limestone Calcined Clay Cement” . This will certainly promote the development of eco-friendly cement for affordable housing solutions in Kenya and other developing countries.

Meru University of Science and Technology creates linkages with industry and like-minded institutions in order to foster apprenticeships, hands-on trainings, real-life simulations and student/staff exchange programmes. These linkages aid students in attaining the skills required by industry.
