The 3rd MUST International Conference (MUSTIC 2024)
A 3-Day International Conference focusing on our University’s commitment to Science in the Service of Climate Action.
Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) was thrilled to host the 3rd Research and Innovation International Conference (MUSTIC 2024) from Wednesday, 26th to Friday 28th June 2024. MUSTIC is a hybrid conference converging researchers, innovators, students and key public sector organizations with the knowledge, skills and expertise related to research and innovation.
The MUST family appreciates the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker, the Principal Secretary, State Department for Higher Education and Research in the Ministry of Education, Dr. Beatrice Muganda Inyangala represented by Prof. Ratemo Michieka, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the National Research Fund, for officially opening the conference.
“Climate change is undoubtedly one of the most pressing challenges of our time. It transcends borders and disciplines, requiring a united and multi-faceted approach. This conference, with its diverse sub-themes spanning Agriculture, Business, Computing, Education, Engineering, Health, and more, exemplifies the comprehensive effort needed to address climate change. The Chairperson of the MUST Council, Prof. James Ireri Kanya, stated the University’s continued dedication as a beacon of academic excellence has provided transformative education that empowers students to make a global impact. He said that the conference aligns perfectly with the University’s goals, integrating scientific research and education into practical solutions for climate resilience. Prof. Ireri also stated that Climate change impacts every aspect of our lives.

• Sustainable Infrastructure Solutions for climate resilience

• Climate Change and Public Health; Response and Impact of environmental changes on Health.

• Climate change prediction for nature based innovations on biological conservation and resource management.
