External Advertisement – ADF HEST Phase II Scholarships (Undergraduate Programmes)

ANNOUNCEMENT FOR AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT FUND (ADF) SUPPORT TO HIGHER EDUCATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (HEST) PHASE II PROJECT SCHOLARSHIPS

The Government of Kenya has received financing from the African Development Fund (ADF) toward the cost of the support to Higher Education Science Technology Phase II project to improve relevance and equitable access to quality higher education, training and research in STEM for inclusive economic growth and employment in Kenya by 2030.

The Government, through the Meru University of Science and Technology, intends to apply part of the agreed amount from the financing towards scholarships in STEM.

The Meru University of Science and Technology invites applications for these scholarships from suitably qualified persons to pursue Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics and ICT Programmes in the following areas:

The scholarship package will cover tuition fees, Project and Assessments costs for the duration of study. The scholarships are open to all Kenyans under the age of 40 years who will be engaged as Technicians and Technologists. Programmes of study funded by the scholarship are scheduled to commence in August, 2026.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  1. Applicants MUST have obtained a minimum of Diploma with Credit in the areas advertised from a recognized and accredited Institution;
  2. The successful candidates shall be bonded under the applicable terms and conditions of the University of Meru University of Science and Technology;
  3. The successful candidates shall be expected to complete their studies within the prescribed study period;
  4. Scholarships are tenable at the Meru University of Science and Technology;
  5. Applications will be as per the outlined below online application procedure. Please note that hard copy applications will not be accepted.
  6. Candidates must be registered or registrable with relevant professional and/or regulatory bodies where applicable;

  2. Job Application Guidelines
    1. Registration:
      1. Go to https://recruitment.must.ac.ke/ and then click on the ‘Register’ button to start the application process.
      2. Fill in your details on the form provided. After successful registration, you will receive an email enabling you to confirm your email address and complete your registration. (Be sure to check your spam folder if no confirmation email is received in your inbox)
      3. In subsequent applications, you will not be required to register again.
    2. Log on:
      1. After registration go to https://recruitment.must.ac.ke/
      2. Key in your username and password then click on ‘Log in’ to access your account.
    3. Available Vacancies
      1. On the Menu/Navigation bar (On the Left Hand side), Click on Vacancies to view available/open vacancies
      2. A list of all open vacancies should populate on the page. Click on the View position button to view more details of the vacancy.
    4. Applicant Profile
      1. On the Menu/Navigation bar (On the Left Hand side), Click on Applicant Profile to edit and update your details. (Personal Details, Education Background, Employment/ Employment history among others).
      2. Be sure to provide accurate information and follow through the prompts to complete editing your profile.
      3. After successful updating of the applicant profile, the system will provide you with a Summarized PDF version of Summary of the “Applicant Profile”
      4. After submission of the updated profile, the system will redirect you to the vacancies page.
    5. Application process:
      1. Go to the vacancies page as outlined in Section (c) Above.
      2. Click on view position for the Job you are interested in.
      3. Click on Apply job button (At the top right) to apply for the job.
      4. You have successfully applied for the position.
    6. Job Applications
      1. All successful applications will be maintained under “Job Applications” tab.
      2. To Access the “Job Applications” Page click on “Job Applications” link the Menu/Navigation bar (On the Left Hand side)
