Alex Mugambi Njenga Testimonial
MUST Student Testimonial – Alex Mugambi Njenga (B.Sc. Computer Security and Forensics).
“Since the indefinite closure of educational institutions, learning in Kenyan Universities as we know it has had to shift. As a student, learning from home is a new yet very exciting experience; you can be in class two minutes after waking up and in bed seconds after the lecturer says “we’ll pick up from there next time”. However, you should log in minutes before an online lecture to make sure you are well prepared.
The University launched an online study platform where we can access study material, hold discussions and also interact with lecturers in real time. It is a great way to keep us engaged during this tough period.
Self-drive is of most significance at this time if any progress is to be made in academics. Minimal supervision calls for a lot of discipline.
I had two weeks to my finals when the universities were closed down countrywide. Before then, I had a lot of pressure to complete my project by the due date and also revise for the exams; both are still a work in progress, but I will not relent from achieving my goals. I was scheduled to sit my final University examination in April 2020. I look forward to a semblance of normality and graduating. It will happen.
My heart goes out to everyone affected by this global pandemic. Let us stay strong and believe in a more peaceful and healthy future.”
