Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility:

Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) students to spend a trimester at University College Dublin (UCD) in Dublin, Ireland

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility is a European Union-funded programme that supports the mobility of students and staff between Europe and the rest of the world. In the current call for applications, funding is available to support two (2) Masters students from Meru University of Science and Technology to spend four (4) months on an exchange program at University College Dublin (UCD) in Dublin, Ireland starting January 2023.

ERASMUS+ ICM SCHOLARSHIP RATES

Successful applicants will be awarded a grant which includes:

✔ A stipend of €900 per month for the duration of the exchange;

✔ €820 travel allowance to cover return flights from Kenya to Dublin

You can compare the approximate cost of living in Dublin and Meru here. The rent for a room near UCD is €600-900 per month.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

✔ Students pursuing either a MSc Chemistry or MSc Food Science and Technology

✔ Students must have completed coursework for their Masters degree programme

✔ Available to travel to UCD in January 2023 for 4 months

✔ The proposed mobility period must fit into the student’s Masters programme of study

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

  1. Copies of undergraduate academic transcripts and certificate
  2. Copies of Masters degree academic transcripts
  3. Biometric passport (East African Community e-Passport)

SELECTION RESULTS

Applicants will be notified of the outcome by 30th September 2022.
