Vacancy for a Research Assistant

 Applications are invited for the position of a Research Assistant for a period of six (6) months in a project at Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST). The Project funded by the National Research Fund (NRF) is titled: Development of value-added camel milk products to enhance food security in arid and semi-arid areas of Northern Kenya. The collaborating institution in this project are Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and Tharaka University College. The Research Assistant will be involved in the development various cosmetic products from camel milk byproducts.

Qualifications:

Must have a Bachelors degree (at least 2nd Class Honours – Upper Division) in Chemistry or higher from a recognized University.
