MUST Elevates Emergency Response with State-of-the-Art Ambulance

Meru University of Science and Technology is now equipped with a game-changing addition to its fleet. A top-of-the-line Ambulance Mercedes Benz Sprinter 519 CDI!

Thanks to the generous donation from Capital Services Corporation Limited in the United Kingdom, we are stepping up our emergency response game. This Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance is a beacon of hope, ready to swiftly respond to any emergencies within Meru County and beyond.
During the reception of the ambulance, our Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Romanus Odhiambo, alongside the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs (DVC ASA) Prof. Simon Thuranira, the Acting Chief Medical Officer Norbert Kaimenyi, the Coordinator of Research, Collaboration and Extension Dr. Patrick Kubai, the Transport Officer Michael Ngengya, the Deputy Finance Officer Franco Mutua and Senior Procurement Assistant Lydia Ogendo welcomed the addition of this Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance to our University.
This is the second Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance in our University’s fleet, highlighting our unwavering commitment to prioritizing healthcare in all aspects of our mission. By investing in such critical infrastructure, we are not only ensuring the safety and well-being of our community members but also reaffirming our dedication to providing top-tier healthcare services. This milestone underscores our University’s proactive stance in addressing healthcare challenges and emphasizes our role as a leader in promoting health and well-being, both within our campus walls and beyond. With each ambulance, we are expanding our capacity to serve and make a tangible difference in the lives of those we touch.

Not only will this ambulance be a lifeline for the broader community, but it will also be a valuable asset for our students pursuing programs in the School of Health Sciences (SHS) and School of Nursing (SoN). As future healthcare professionals, they will have firsthand access to cutting-edge technology and hands-on experience in emergency care. This real-world exposure will not only enhance their education but also instill in them a deep sense of responsibility and empathy towards those in need.
Meru University of Science and Technology is creating better healthcare opportunities for the world; We are here to serve you.
Here’s to saving lives, one timely response at a time.
