Responsible Computing: Shaping Ethical and Sustainable Futures

On 15th March 2024, Meru University of Science and Technology hosted a discussion forum on Responsible Computing. The project team, led by Dr. Mary Mwadulo (the principal investigator), Dr.Amos Chege and Antony Irungu, organized the event, which was hosted in the Main Campus at Theatre One.

The event attracted renowned groups such as current students, alumni and lecturers from several prestigious universities. The aim was to explore critical aspects of responsible computing and chart a path forward that fosters ethical decision-making, inclusivity, accessibility, and sustainability within the field of computer science. Members participated in the discussion, emphasizing the importance of infusing ethical components in computing education.
