Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) today hosted a high-level stakeholders’ meeting aimed at strengthening collaboration in entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic development.

The meeting, chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Romanus Odhiambo PhD, brought together senior officials from the Meru County Government and the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), Meru Chapter. The engagement explored opportunities for strategic partnerships that will bridge academia, industry, and government to foster a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Discussions focused on the commercialization of university innovations, providing students with practical business exposure, supporting student-led startups and creating sustainable pathways for innovation-driven enterprises. The stakeholders also explored collaborative initiatives aimed at addressing youth unemployment while stimulating business growth and economic transformation within Meru County.

Speaking during the meeting, the Vice Chancellor reaffirmed MUST’s commitment to producing graduates who are not only academically competent but also equipped with entrepreneurial skills capable of creating jobs and providing innovative solutions to societal challenges.
