NOTICE FOR 8TH GRADUATION CEREMONY
This is to inform all students who meet the requirements for conferment of Degrees and Award of Diplomas/Certificates of Meru University of Science and Technology that the University will hold its 8th Graduation ceremony virtually on Friday 26th February, 2021. Please note the following important details;
(i) Application for Graduation
Application for graduation will be done through the student portal between 1st February 2021 and 8th February 2021.
(ii) Fees
Graduands must have cleared any outstanding fee arrears owed to the University including a mandatory non-refundable graduation fee as shown in Table 1, by Friday 29th January, 2021. Graduands who will not abide by this deadline will not be allowed to graduate.

(iii) Clearance
Upon successful application for graduation and clearance of fees, students should be able to clear through their student portal.
(iv) Academic Attire
Graduands are requested to pick their graduation gowns between Monday, 15th February 2021 and Tuesday 23rd February, 2021 at the Gowns Room. Graduation attire will be returned as you pick your certificate from Tuesday 9th March, 2021 to Friday 19th March, 2021 after which a penalty of Kshs 1,000 per day shall be charged.
(v) Rehearsal and Graduation Ceremony
Graduands participating in the graduation will be provided with a link to join the Rehearsal on Thursday, 25th February, 2021 at 10.00 a.m. and Graduation Ceremony on 26th February, 2021 at 8.00 am.

1. The over-payment will be transferred to the graduation fee. If you have already paid the graduation fee and still you have an over-payment, the 2nd point below applies.
2. If you are a beneficiary of HELB, the excess money will be refunded to HELB. If not, the 3rd point below applies.
3. Kindly write to registrar ARS requesting a refund
What about CDF beneficiary? Can you be refunded the excess or they send back to the county.

would you please try help us reach/get clarification from the business management department, school of business and economics , registrar and finance on the following issues. since they are not responding!
1.they have not deducted graduation fee upon payment…(finance)
2.total units in the portal do not reflect the units done.(error) in units registered in students portal….many students have these problems of 2015/2019 …2016/2020.
ask them will these affect there graduation? remember they have completed all units and attachment but the units registered has an error! once the maintenance of the system was done early 2020.( school of business and economics)
3.personally my registered units reads 53 instead of 58… BS204…PLEASE FORWARD my case to enable correction be done please.
