Gender & Inclusion Planning Workshop

Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) in partnership with Wageningen Center for Development Innovation are implementing a project whose aim is to support technical training colleges mainstream gender, people living with disability (PWDs) and other marginalized groups in all jointly developed approaches and products and provide more inclusive educational environments (widened inclusion spectrum).

The project objectives are to:

  1. Promote equal opportunities between men and women
  2. Promote equal opportunities for members of persons with disability (PWDs) and marginalized groups

Workshop dates:

  • 15th January 2021 – Siala TTI
  • 16th January 2021 – Ahero VTC
  • 21st January 2021 – Tharaka and Meru NP and MUST

The purpose of the workshop is to raise awareness among members of gender and inclusion committees in target institutions on gender and inclusion fair planning guideline. Next to the awareness raising, the workshop will be an opportunity for institutions to brainstorm on their ambition with regard to gender and inclusion planning, potential activities and develop a SMART action to guide implementation.

The workshop should be attended by the Gender and Inclusion committee members including managers and student representatives.

  • Gender and Inclusion planning guidelines
  • Brainstorm sessions
  • Group Action planning
  • Session Feedback
