MUST HOSTS ROAD SAFETY MAINSTREAMING TRAINING

Meru University of Science and Technology (MUST) hosted a road safety mainstreaming training from 15th to 18th December, 2020.  Various institutional road safety committees within Meru region attended the training which comprised a total of twenty-two (22) participants from six (6) institutions; Meru University of Science and Technology, Kiirua Technical Training College, Meru National Polytechnic, Karumo Technical Training College, Nkabune Technical Training Institute and Mitunguu Technical Training Institute.

Mr. Samuel Mwangi and Ms. Winfred Njeri from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) were the facilitators. The main objective of the training was to equip the newly formed committee members with the necessary skills to come up with domesticated workplace road safety policy and also spearhead road safety activities for their respective institutions. This is in line the government policy of mainstreaming road safety in the activities of Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
