Scholarship for E-Waste Processing Course

SCHOLARSHIP FOR E-WASTE PROCESSING TRAINING

ATTENTION TO ALL FIRST YEAR STUDENTS

1st December, 2022

Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) cover a wide range from toasters, smoke alarms, cathode ray tube monitors, telephone sets, electrical toothbrushes, coffeemakers, irons, electrical toys, ovens, TVs, computers, internet routers, energy-saving lamps, batteries, printers, fridges, microwave ovens, drills, high-pressure cleaners, and washing machines. “E-waste is a term used to cover all items of electrical and electronic equipment and its parts that have been discarded by owners as waste without the intention of reuse”

E-waste is a global challenge, not only due to EEE production being subject to a network of global supply chains and the increasing generation of e-waste worldwide but also because its proper treatment and prevention require the active engagement of a diverse set of actors. 3. Dismantle e-waste materials
  4. Properly grade e-waste components and fractions
  5. Apply circular economy principles in e-waste management

  7. Perform basic repairs in e-waste processing
  8. Use e-waste management tools and equipment
  9. Identify mandatory Documents and records for E-waste management
  10. Identify Laws, Policies and Regulations Governing E- Waste Management

MUST invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from current first-year students with the intent of establishing a professional career in e-waste processing. Selected students will be eligible for a six months training scholarship in e-waste processing under agreed-upon terms as needs arise.
