The CNEAT project has been piloted in three Special Schools with PWDs in Meru County and Isiolo County. The schools are Manyatta Alakara Small Home for Physically Challenged Children, Igoji Small Home for Physically Challenged Children and Athi Special School. The project is still in progress towards completion, at about 70% completion.

Three Assistive Technology Centers have been established namely

o Manyatta Alakara Small Home for Physically Challenged Children,

o Igoji Small Home for Physically Challenged Children and

o Athi Special School.  

The three centers are fully functional with installed and operational Computers and Assistive Learning Devices namely FABI, FlipMouse and CameraMouse. The teachers and the pupils with a disability are now enjoying the benefit of using the assistive technologies in learning. 

The CNEAT Project is housed in the CNEAT Academy at the Meru University of Science and Technology Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre (IIEC) as the Centre for Assistive Technology (CAT) in the region.
