NOTICE FOR 10th GRADUATION CEREMONY

CHANGE OF DATE

This is to inform all students who meet the requirements for conferment of Degrees and award of Diplomas and Certificates of Meru University of Science and Technology that the University will hold its 10th physical Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, 11th March, 2023. Please note the following important details;

(i) Application for Graduation

Application for graduation will be done through the student portal between Wednesday,4th January 2023 and Friday,24th February 2023.

(ii) Fees

Graduands must have cleared any outstanding fee arrears owed to the University including a mandatory non-refundable alumni and graduation fee as shown in Table 1, by Friday, 24th February, 2023. Graduands who will not abide by this deadline will not be allowed to graduate.

(iii) Clearance

Graduands will be expected to clear with relevant departments through their students’ portal.

(iv) Academic Attire

Graduands are requested to pick their graduation gowns between Wednesday, 1st March, 2023 and Thursday, 9th March, 2023 at the Gowns Room. Graduation attire will be returned as from Tuesday, 28th March, 2023 to Friday, 7th April, 2023 after which a penalty of Kshs. 1,000 per day shall be charged. Certificates will be ready for issuance within this period.

(v) Rehearsal and Graduation Ceremony

Graduands participating in the graduation will be required to attend the Rehearsal on Friday, 10th March, 2023 at 10.00 a.m. and Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, 11th March, 2023 at 8.00 am.
